Please join us for our June meeting! This month we’ll cover voting rights and current Nevadan voting bills. Our speakers will include Linda Berg, NOW’s political director, who will explain setting up Nevada NOW’s PAC. We will also have Will Pregman, communications director with Battle Born Progress, and Emily Zamora, executive director of Silver State Voices, who will both cover voting rights in Nevada. Jonnette Paddy, Miss Native UNLV who represents the Native American Student Association, will be speaking on missing and murdered indigenous women

Come kick off early voting with a bang! Join Women's March Nevada and Nevada NOW on the first day of early voting. Come cast your ballot and get all the information needed to help others know when and where they can go vote. Then stay to listen to speakers Clark County Commissioner Chris G., State Senator Pat Spearman and others to be announced. Bring your friends!

Meet up in the Clark County Commission Chambers. Hear some great speakers. Grab some info for your friends and family. Go Vote! Enjoy the rest of your day. You can be in and out quickly or you can stay for the whole event.

Nevada NOW & Moms Demand Action-Domestic Violence Forum

In support of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, please join Nevada NOW and Moms Demand Action for a forum on adult and teen domestic violence. This forum with include speakers from Safe Nest, Nevada’s largest and most comprehensive charity dedicated solely to domestic violence issues, and the Nevada Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence. Donations of diapers, feminine hygiene products and pajamas for children, teens and adult women will be gratefully accepted at this meeting on behalf of Safe Nest.

This will serve as Nevada NOW’s October chapter meeting.

July Chapter Meeting

Join us July 22, 2018, 2-3:30 pm at the Sahara West Library for our monthly meeting. Nevada NOW members are attending the National NOW Conference in San Jose, July 6-8, and we will come back inspired and ready to share what we learned. 

We will also be talking about the Primary Election results and the process we have to endorse candidates for the General election in November. And plan what we want Nevada NOW to be working on going forward. Please bring ideas and questions to contribute.

Our speaker will be Lindsey Harmon, Executive Director, Nevada Advocates for Planned Parenthood. She will introduce her organization and talk about how they work with 501C3's. She will have information for us about their priorities this election season and the upcoming legislative session.

June Chapter Meeting - Nevada NOW's Wine, Chocolate & Vote!!

Join Nevada NOW for Early Voting and an After Party. 1st we will meet to VOTE, 5-6 pm at Albertsons on Cheyenne & Durango, then join Assembly Candidate Dist 4 Connie Munk & Richard Munk for a Wine & Chocolate tasting at their home. Come & celebrate the hard work everyone has been doing to get great candidates elected & get out the vote in Nevada. Pat Spearman, running for Congress CD4, Shea Backus, Assembly Dist 37, Kathy Lauckner, Assembly Dist 42, David Orentlicher, Assembly Dist 2, Craig Jordahl, State Senate Dist 12 & Tick Segerbloom, Clark County Comm. May Chapter Meeting

Please join us on May 16th, 6pm at the Sahara West Library for our May Chapter Meeting. NOW President, Toni Van Pelt and NOW PAC endorsed Sen. Pat Spearman will join us. 

Toni was elected President of NOW in 2017 and we can’t wait to get to know her and hear about her plan to energize feminists to get out to vote and elect great candidates. 

Sen. Pat Spearman is a candidate for Congress CD 4. She will be speaking about the next steps for the ERA, after being instrumental in ratifying it in Nevada, and we will be asking her about her plan to support NOW’s core issues in Congress.
