Nevada Now is very proud to acknowledge and congratulate all of our outstanding endorsed candidates who won their elections in November! In these November midterms Nevada had great success with many of our strong, active, progressive women, and their powerful messages got through to voters. The Nevada Assembly is now over 50% women, a great success for making women and family issues a priority in Nevada!
In the 35 races where Nevada Now endorsed candidates, 26 of these candidates won, a 74% success! On the Federal level we now have two female Senators in Nevada, Senators Jacky Rosen and Catherine Cortez-Masto. We also sent endorsed candidates Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford to the House of Representatives.
All these candidates have a powerful voice and give us great hope for the future for all of Nevada citizens. Congratulations to these amazing candidates and thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make this happen!
2018 March to the Polls!
On March 22, 2017, 45 years to the day after Congress passed the ERA, Nevada became the 36th state to ratify. On May 30, 2018 Illinois became the 37th state. One more state needed to 38! Nevada State Senator Pat Spearman talks about how important ratifying the ERA is on this dynamic video.
Nevada NOW is supporting our endorsed candidates, phone banks, canvassing, and writing postcards.
